No, our lab is only accessible to our trained workers. If you need any assistance or would like to submit a project, we invite you to complete the Project Submission Form, or visit the Project-Based Learning Office (IESB 118).
Yes, of course! There is a "Bring Your Own Material" option in the project submission form.
Once the form is submitted, you will receive an email with further instructions on how and where to drop off your material.

This highly depends on the print or cut time. Most projects once submitted (or confirmed if necessary), are started the same or next business day.
As a note, most projects are ready to be picked up on the same or next business day. Please note that during certain times of the school year, there may be long job queues. It is highly recommended to make sure that your project file has the correct dimensions and format before submitting.
Yes! Anyone who is a student or faculty member of the university is available to submit projects and receive assistance. Please reach out to our staff if you have any questions.
Yes it is! We are open from 7:30am-5pm on Monday-Thursday and 7:30am-12:30pm on Fridays. We are available to answer any questions or submissions at our email prototyping@email.latech.edu.
Our store offers:
- .0625" Clear Acrylic
- .125" Clear Acrylic
- .125" Colored Acrylic
- Masonite (Tempered Hardboard)
- Plywood less than 1/8" thicnkess
Project prices also depend on the dimensions of the material needed. This will be communicated in the project submission response.
We highly recommend using SOLIDWORKS. Other 3D modeling programs may be used as long as it exports STL for 3D printing or a DXF for laser cutting. Please note that there may be additional clarification needed if any program other than SOLIDWORKS is used.
To find out where your project is, check the "Project Status" on the homepage of the website. If it is completed, it can be picked up on weekdays in IESB 118 during business hours.
Our standard procedure involves payment at pickup. If you require a different billing situation, please reach out to Ashley Osborne at aosborne@latech.edu before submitting your project.
